The terroir of Substance Cabernet Sauvignon Stoneridge Vineyard 2014 begins with an alluvial fan gravel bed. First, the site rests above the flood plain of the Columbia River.  While under the topsoil is a layer of caliche and basalt 6-12’’ deep.  Hence, creating calcium and iron-rich media that forces roots to struggle.
