Renwood Winery
Founder Robert Smerling began the Renwood Winery in 1993 in Plymouth, California’s Gold Country. However, Renwood has become so closely associated with great old-vine Zinfandel that the winery seems much older. Today Renwood grows and sources grapes from over 400 rolling acres in Amador County. So producing amazing Zinfandel is the specialty. Yet Renwood creates wonderful Petite Sirah, Alicante, Mourvèdre, and Barbera as well.
While situated in the picturesque Amador County of northern California. Renwood Winery is surrounded by the rolling hills and rushing streams of California’s gold country. So, Renwood was established in 1993 and is one of the most respected wine producers in the Sierra Foothills. Of course, old-vine Amador Zinfandel and Barbera are the showstoppers at this storied estate.
