Poiema Chardonnay 2017 | A true work of art
Those who love Chardonnay with rich fruit flavors should truly enjoy this Poiema Chardonnay 2017. While initially expressing green apple, melon and pear flavors complemented by vanilla notes. Also, nicely presenting a nicely integrated oak presence. Yet, if you like less oak, let the wine open for an hour and drink it a little warmer between 55-60°F. SLO Wine Country | Sant Lucia Mountains to Edna Valley
Poiema Wines are where art and science collide. Masterfully crafted from the beautiful Santa Lucia Highlands, our wines are true reflections of the terroir and in themselves a work of art.
So, Edna Valley, in the heart of SLO Wine Country, is California’s coolest winegrowing region. While it’s located just 5 miles from the Pacific Ocean. The northwest-to-southwest orientation of the Edna Valley creates a direct path for cool marine air to filter into the valley from the Los Osos/Morro Bay area. This climate, combined with the calcareous and volcanic soils results in wines with intensity, concentration and fresh, balancing acidity. Most of all perfect for Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and aromatic white wines.
