On Q Cadence Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 | Music for your soul
On Q Cadence Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 presents a deep, dense purple core with a magenta rim. While the nose is generous and perfumed, showing cassis and crushed violets. Yet, the mouthfeel is muscular and elegant and bursting with fresh berries. Excellent acidity balances the generous fruit, and the long finish is marked by tones of espresso and spicy tobacco leaf. Most of all, a fantastic Cabernet for the money.

So, On Q Cadence Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 is a Napa insider steal, through and through. While hailing from one of Napa’s greatest vintages in memory, the fruit is sourced from Coombsville. Notably, the up-and-coming AVA whose profile has been raised by another Screaming Eagle alum, Andy Erickson. Who along with his wife Annie Favia choose to base their flagship Favia brand there. Of note, Koschitzky ferments 100% Cabernet Sauvignon in stainless steel. And then gives it a luxurious 27 months in 60 percent new French oak.
An Insider Steal | Drink at Morimoto for $30 a glass or…
Steve Brady, founder, and proprietor of On Q Wines, crafts ultra-premium wines produced from the finest Napa Valley grapes grown in the Coombsville sub-appellation. Brady and Koschitzky produced a mere 242 cases of On Q Cadence Cabernet Sauvignon 2015. However, a good portion of those goes to Morimoto, the Napa mainstay restaurant where it is featured by the glass. So that’s where we first experienced it: the dark red and black fruits, the dense and elegant mouthfeel, and the bass note of espresso and tobacco. It is classic, small production Napa Cabernet, and the next time you’re in the Valley, you can give it a try at Morimoto—for $30 a glass. Or get it here for just $59.99 on 6 or more bottles.
Winemaker Maayan Koschitzky
Maayan comes to On Q Wines by way of cult wineries Screaming Eagle, Dalle Valle, and Atelier Melka. “Spanning wine regions in Israel, California, Washington, and Chile, Maayan has accumulated more winemaking experience in ten years than many enologists would in an entire career,” says Inside Winemaking Magazine.
Like Steve, Maayan holds an Engineering degree and a background unique to the Napa Valley. However, his ultimate passion for winemaking and enology led him to the Napa Valley. Here he has become one of the most respected and talented winemakers in the region. Most of all, his distinguished palate and ability to construct complex wine blends has elevated On Q to a new level. Maayan and Steve work closely together to ensure On Q wines are among some of the finest produced in the Napa Valley
