Is Medium Roast the ‘American Roast’?

Medium roast is medium brown in color with a stronger flavor than a light roast and a non-oily surface. Medium Roast is slightly sweeter than light roasts with a balanced flavor, aroma and acidity.  It’s often referred to as the American roast because it is generally preferred in the United States.
