Amazing with appetizers – vegans and pescatarians take note… delicious Tuscany White blend!
92 Points, Zachys Buying Team: Poggio Argentato IGT Bianco Le Pupille 2016 – A Tuscany white blend of sauvignon blanc, traminer, petit manseng, and Semillon. This is a sensational white from the talented team of Elisabetta Geppeti and Luca D’Attoma of Fattoria Le Pupille. It is the perfect summer white, with its intense floral, peach blossom, honeysuckle, and lemon zest aromas. We cannot get enough of the lip-smacking minerality, crisp and lively acidity! But do not be fooled, there is great purity and complexity here, making this the perfect expression of Tuscany white from the maritime influences and mineral rich terroir. Enjoy chilled as an aperitif or pair with a fresh crudo drizzled lightly with olive oil, grilled branzino with summer vegetables, or light salad!”

91 Points – Antonio Galloni – VinousMedia: “The 2016 Poggio Argentato is terrific in this vintage. Aromatically expressive, generous and persistent on the palate, the 2016 stands out for its exceptional balance. Traminer and Sauvignon give the wine its signature exotic/floral aromatics, but all the elements are nicely balanced throughout.
About Poggio Argentato IGT Bianco Le Pupille 2016 – from the winery
The first vintage which sees this sharp and mineral white is 1997 with its freshness and its balanced acidity. Since then Poggio Argentato accompanies season after season the simple and fragrant meals of the Mediterranean cuisine. A Traminer and Sauvignon Blanc cuvee adapted to the microclimate of Maremma, Poggio Argentato. It presents itself as a white with a French tone, with a very feminine style. As a result, the white blend is capable, with its pleasantness, of combining the sun of Maremma and the elegance of the great northern wines.
