Piece of Work Rosé 2018 | Profoundly rich, Party-in-a-Bottle!
Piece of Work Rosé 2018 presents a deep, luminous pink-salmon color. Enticing aromas of watermelon, fresh strawberries, and crushed-stone minerality. And with just a hint of violet florals. While rich, but light on its feet, packed with yummy red cherry, melon, and kiwi, with a crisp and refreshing orange-zest and grapefruit finish. Not your Provençal style, this richer, provocative rosé calls for hearty summer salads. In addition, marinated grilled meats, and oysters Rockefeller. Enjoy now through 2020.
Amazing Red Gems under $35
Today’s Piece of Work Rosé 2018”—with its provocative Hamlet-inspired label—is one skull-crushingly rich, delicious, cherry, strawberry, and melon-infused party-in-a-bottle, piece of work rosé. “There’s a million rosés out there!” We hear you. But, if you show up with this bottle to a dinner party or a pool party—any party really—as we did at Auction Napa Valley recently, you’ll instantly be the center of attention (so brush up your Shakespeare).
Serious Sonoma Winery
Beyond its mesmerizing label, the fruit sources are top-notch. Prime Pinot Noir grapes were sourced from one of Wine Spectator’s “serious” Sonoma wineries, and also from one of the oldest continuously operating wineries in Carneros. The only moment our bottle of Piece of Work wasn’t stealing the show at Auction came when Katy Perry took the stage. But by her second song, the guests at our table were back shouting, “Alas! Poor Yorick!” So, it’s a toss-up.
Provence versus California Rosé
How do you know a French Provence rosé from a California rosé? The most obvious clue is a visual one: classic Provencal rosé is marked by an extremely light pink or salmon-colored hue. They are delicate sippers, with light flavors and refreshing sea-spray minerality.

This Piece of Work Rosé 2018, on the other hand, is profoundly rich and a deep-salmon in color, with provocative ripe fruit, and evocative of all the things we love about summer. We think of Shakespeare in the park, but with a bottle of Piece of Work nearby, it could be: Shakespeare by the pool, Shakespeare on a hike, on a picnic, after a bike ride, or by the sea-side.
