Founder Bill Leigon

Bill Leigon is the founder of Jamieson Ranch Vineyards and is responsible for the creation of our highly recognized Jamieson Ranch Double Lariat Cabernet Sauvignon 2015.  Most of all an innovator and visionary who has been active in the wine industry since the early 1970s.  Bill is also the driving force behind Reata, Light Horse and Whiplash brands.

So Jamieson Ranch Vineyards is the southernmost winery in the Napa Valley. The property’s rolling hillsides and vineyards were formerly part of General Mariano Vallejo’s Rancho Suscol in the mid-1800s. While today, the ranching tradition continues with cattle grazing the hillsides and our own miniature horses roaming the property.

Winemaker Linda Trotta

With a career spanning three decades and four continents, Linda Trotta was named Winemaker for Jamieson Ranch Vineyards in 2017.   Notably responsible for the Double Lariat and Reata brands.

A southern California native, Linda earned degrees in Enology from UC Davis and in Italian Art History from Universita` degli Studi di Padova. She has held leadership roles with Women for Winesense, the Washington Wine Technical Group and Wine Women, an organization that champions the advancement of women’s careers in wine.   In addition, Linda speaks regularly at industry events and her written work appears frequently in trade magazines. Finally, she also serves as a judge in wine competitions throughout the country.
