Il Bruciato Guado Al Tasso Antinori 2015 | 1.5L | This is a Magnum! Drinks like 3x the price!
Antinori | Il Bruciato Guado Al Tasso Antinori 2015 is an intense ruby red in color. While the wine shows attractive and complex aromas of red berry fruit, sweet spices, and toasted coffee. Yet, the flavors are full, round, and of high-level balance and pleasure. It will be a vintage well capable of improving over time.
Red Wine Gems Under $35
93ZBT: “Wow, what a wine! The nose is extremely expressive, with an explosion of rich blackberries, crème de cassis, blueberry, crème de cassis, violets, vanilla, and chocolate covered cherries, and all carry through to the palate. Even with all the ripe fruit aromas, it is still distinctively Tuscan, with an underlying brush, garrigue, and spicy black pepper notes. The sweet silky tannins are balanced by the rich fruit flavors, keeps you going back for more.
But what we love best, is the surprising underlying acidity that gives this wine a lovely freshness and elegance, adding depth and structure. There is true pedigree here, served blind you would think this is a top-flight Super Tuscan, hard to believe this not a $50+ wine! This is a wine that will pair perfectly with a bisteca Fiorentina, a burger from the bbq, or even just your favorite pizza.”
Galloni & Suckling are impressed
92AG, Vinous: “The Il Bruciato Guado Al Tasso Antinori 2015 shows just how compelling this vintage is, even among entry-level offerings. Sumptuous and racy to the core, 2015 will be virtually impossible to resist, even in its youth. Dark cherry, spice, new leather, mocha and espresso ring out in this deeply flavorful and expressive wine.”
93JS | Aromas of black currants, blackberry, and wet earth follow through to a full body, dark and juicy fruit and a long and flavorful finish. Yet layered and rich with a lovely ripe tannin mouthfeel. Il Bruciato Guado Al Tasso Antinori 2015 shows the opulence of the outstanding 2015 vintage.
Antinori | Guado al Tasso Estate
The Antinori family has been involved in the production of wine for over six centuries, ever since. While in 1385, Giovanni di Piero Antinori entered as a member, the “Arte Fiorentina”, the Winemakers’ Guild of the city of Florence. Hence, through twenty-six generations, the family has always directly managed this work with courageous and, at times, innovative decisions. But always maintaining, unaltered, a fundamental respect for tradition and for the territory in which they have operated.
The Guado al Tasso estate is located 50 miles southwest of the city of Florence near the medieval hamlet of Bolgheri. While the property, approximately 2500 acres (1000 kilometers) in total size, extends from the Tyrrhenian Sea to the inland hills. In addition to 750 acres of vineyards, terrain planted to the cultivation of wheat, barley, oats, and olive groves. Also along with woods in which a herd of “Cinta Senesi” pigs, a prize local breed, roam and feed.
