Aaron Trespasser 2015 | Sensational 94-point Red Blend Paso Robles
94JD | Similarly deep ruby/purple-colored, Aaron Trespasser 2015 (41% Petite Sirah, 30% Mourvèdre, 24% Syrah, and the rest Grenache) gives up lots of blueberry, ground herbs, pepper, and smoky, meaty notes in its rich, concentrated, yet beautifully balanced personality. With notable freshness and purity, fine tannins, and a great finish, it’s another sensational blend from these limestone hills on the west side of Paso Robles.

Inky and rich. Packed with blueberry compote and sweet herbs on the nose. Aaron Trespasser 2015 expands on the palate with dense plum and blackberry. Broad and nicely chewy, the wine finishes lively with soft hints of mocha. We love this wine with barbeque, burgers, or a backyard game of cornhole. Buy now before we run out. Trespasser is always a blend of our spiciest Petite Sirah’s. Along with the more savory Mourvedre and Syrah that are fermented with high amounts of whole clusters. In general, Trespasser is the softest of our blends each year.
Winemaker Aaron Jackson
So, Aaron began in 2002 with a focus on producing powerful, age-worthy wines from the rugged hillsides of westside Paso Robles. While always seeking to veer from the norm, we found inspiration in creating blends that centered around one of California’s greatest grapes — Petite Sirah. First, utilizing vineyards from the most amazing sites our boots could find. Then we source intense yet balanced fruit from the Willow Creek, Adelaida, and Templeton Gap districts. From these sites, we coax this massively structured varietal (along with Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot) into a portfolio of unique cuvees that evoke our best expression of westside Paso Robles terroir.
